rebelcouch

Therapy is truly such an individual experience. For me, it's all about the relationship. I practice from humanistic, existential, attachment-based, and feminist lenses…but really all that means is that instead of looking at symptoms, I focus on you as a whole person — how relationships and society shape your experience, how your brain works, and what that all means for your life. I work with a lot of folx navigating neurodivergence, and trauma, as well as the messy overlap between the two. I operate from the understanding that you are inherently good and worthy, and I view therapy as a way to help you achieve whatever goals will make your life better

  • DBT is a structured (yet flexible) therapy that can be especially helpful if your emotions feel unmanageable or if you're dealing with suicidal thoughts. Although "behavior" is in the name, I am NOT a behavioral therapist. I practice DBT through a neurodiversity-affirming and self-compassionate lens — building skills around mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • I'm passionate about psychedelics as a tool for healing and liberation. Integration is about taking the insights and awareness from your psychedelic experiences and weaving them into your everyday life. I don't prescribe or provide psychedelics — but if you're curious, exploring, or looking to make sense of an experience you've already had, I'd love to work with you. Check out my resources page to learn more.

  • I'm not interested in gatekeeping. If you're pursuing gender-affirming care, I'd be honored to support you in getting there.

rebeltesting

There's real power in finally understanding how your brain works. A psychological evaluation is one of the best tools I know for getting there — and it takes about six weeks from start to finish. It might be a good fit if treatment hasn't felt like it's working, if you've been collecting diagnoses that don't quite land, or if you just want answers that are specific to you.

  • We start with a consultation to figure out what questions you want answered. From there, I'll put together a testing plan tailored to you — the actual testing sessions can last anywhere from a couple hours to a full day depending on what we're exploring. Once testing is done, I take everything — our conversations, test results, input from people in your life — and write up a detailed report. Then we meet one more time to walk through it all together. The whole process takes about six weeks.

consulting

Some of my favorite work happens outside the therapy room. If you're looking to build more affirming spaces and could use a rebel perspective, I'd love to hear what you're working on and see if I can help!

faq

  • me: I'm laid-back, direct, compassionate, and a little weird. I have purple hair and you'll probably find me barefoot in comfy clothes.

my space: Dimly lit, colorful, eclectic. Comfy couches, blankets, pillows, fidgets. If you need something to feel comfortable and safe, just ask — I mean that.

the process: We start with an intake session to go over your paperwork and get to know each other. If we're a good fit, we set some goals and go from there. I check in on those goals every 90 days or so to make sure we're on track. The rest is the magic of therapy.

  • my office is at 250 N Rock Rd, Suite 300 K, Wichita KS 67206

please know there is a joint waiting room and no receptionist. if it is five minutes past your appointment time and i have not come to get you, please email or text me!

  • My fee for an initial intake is $250 (90 minutes) and $200 for individual therapy (53 minutes). I know that's a weird number — blame insurance. The other seven minutes I spend running to the bathroom, grabbing a bite, and writing notes so I can be on time for the next person.

  • I won't sugarcoat it — testing is an investment. The process takes 10–15 hours (administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing) and typically costs between $1,500–$3,000 depending on your insurance, deductibles, and the complexity of your case. I do everything I can to keep costs manageable — ask me about payment plans through CareCredit. We'll talk through all of this during your initial consult, and I'd encourage you to call your insurance company ahead of time so you know what to expect.

keep in mind that depending on lots of individual factors, your fee will look different (e.g. insurance, deductibles, complexity of case, testing question, etc.):

we will discuss more in-depth during your initial consult and i highly encourage you to reach out to your insurance company to understand what your financial responsibility will be.

  • i charge $200/hour for professional consultation.

  • Item descriptionThink of testing as the map and therapy as the road trip. Testing gives you a detailed picture of how your brain works, what's going on diagnostically, and specific recommendations — all in about six weeks. Therapy is the ongoing work of actually living with and making sense of all of that. You can do both, but if you're interested in both, we always start with testing — it keeps my clinical perspective fresh and unbiased so the evaluation is as accurate as possible. From there, we can move into therapy together, or I can help connect you with someone who's a great fit.
